"Volunteer Connection" is a searchable website listing service opportunities and facilitating student voluntarism.
The Ginsberg Center's SERVE program launched this web-based resource to assist student volunteers and community-based organizations in "finding each other." It is a database of local organizations and volunteer opportunities.
Volunteer Connection's searchable database allows volunteers to search by keyword or browse opportunities alphabetically. Volunteer opportunities include links to a description of its host community agency and a map depicting its location. Supplementing this database of opportunities, the website also provides a compendium of various student volunteer groups and organizations complete with contact information and mission. Volunteer Connection also has a calendar highlighting events relevant to voluntarism and civic engagement.
